The following pages discuss how I have met and continue to strive to meet the Leadership Quality Standards as outlined by Alberta Education. These standards are made up of nine competencies that aim to help guide the path to not only successful practice, but also to a successful and inclusive educational culture.
Leaders in Alberta are responsible for the demonstration of competencies directly related to their assigned role. My current role as a divisional inclusive learning consultant means that I focus my development of each competency within the context of inclusive education. Within the standards document, inclusive education is defined by Alberta Education as "a classroom, school, online learning environment or other educational setting structured to anticipate, value and respond to the diverse strengths and needs of all learners."
Below are links to more information about how I strive to meet each of the nine competencies.
